Egyptian Table Grapes for Wholesale and Retail Buyers

Cairo Fields exports seedless table grapes from Egypt's Nile Valley vineyards. Main export window June through October. Ventilated carton packing and retail clamshell options available to buyer specification.

Grapes export from Egypt

Egyptian table grapes have built a strong reputation in export markets due to the quality of the Nile Valley growing conditions and the breadth of seedless varieties available across the season. For wholesale buyers, the main advantage is a long window — from May through October — that covers summer demand in Gulf markets and the fresh season in Europe.

Cairo Fields sources from established grape-growing regions in Upper Egypt and El Beheira. Our grower relationships cover multiple varieties, which means we can supply a buyer across the full season without switching suppliers. Specification, bunch presentation, and cold chain handling are agreed upfront and maintained throughout.

Buyer considerations for Egyptian grapes:

  • Variety and colour preference by market (red versus green versus mixed)
  • Brix requirement and berry sizing specification
  • Retail-ready versus wholesale carton format
  • Shelf life requirements and cold chain from packhouse to destination
  • GlobalG.A.P. requirement for European programs

Grapes are a cold chain product. We do not ship without pre-cooling, and we confirm reefer temperature settings for every container. If you are building a seasonal grape supply program, early pre-season planning (February–March) gives us the best ability to confirm variety availability and volume.

Varieties / Types

  • Flame Seedless — red seedless, June–August main window
  • Superior (Sugraone) — green seedless, early season May–July
  • Thompson Seedless — green seedless, July–September
  • Crimson Seedless — red seedless, August–October, extended shelf life

Seasonality & Export Window

May – October

Superior/Sugraone are earliest from May. Flame and Thompson run June through September. Crimson Seedless extends the export window into October. Exact availability depends on growing region and season.

Packaging Options

  • 4.5kg ventilated cartons (standard wholesale export)
  • 8.2kg ventilated cartons
  • 500g retail clamshells in 4.5kg master carton

Sourcing Model

Cairo Fields sources grapes from grower networks in Upper Egypt and El Beheira — Egypt's two primary table grape production regions. Variety-specific sourcing allows us to cover the full season window without compromising quality on any single variety.

Export Coordination

Phytosanitary certificates, commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin. Pre-cooling at source prior to container stuffing is standard for grape shipments. Cold chain maintained at 0–2°C through Alexandria or Port Said. EUR.1 for EU-bound shipments.
