Cairo Fields Capability

Supervised Packing to Buyer Specification

Cairo Fields manages packing operations from intake inspection through to container loading. Sizing, grading, carton format, labelling, and documentation matched to buyer requirements on every shipment.

The Buyer Challenge

What goes wrong without the right supplier.

Packing failures are common and costly. Incorrect sizing, wrong carton weight, label errors, missing documentation, or poor product presentation at destination can mean rejection, re-packing costs, and loss of buyer confidence. These failures usually happen when a supplier packs to their own standard, not the buyer's.

Cairo Fields Approach

How we solve it.

Cairo Fields does not pack to a generic export standard. We pack to the buyer's specification — confirming carton format, net weight, sizing grade, and label details before the first carton is packed. Supervised packing means a Cairo Fields team member is present at the packhouse, not reviewing photos remotely.

The Process

Step by step.

  1. Specification confirmation

Buyer's carton format, sizing grade, net weight, label layout, country-of-origin mark, and any retail chain requirements confirmed in writing before packing begins.

  2. Intake inspection

Produce inspected at packhouse intake against agreed specification. Product outside tolerance is rejected before it enters the packing line.

  3. Grading and sizing

Product graded and sized to the confirmed range. Oversized and undersized removed. Multiple size grades packed separately where the buyer requires.

  4. Packing and labelling

Product packed into agreed carton format, net weight checked, label applied to specification. Cartons stacked and palletised to container type.

  5. Pre-shipment inspection

Final check of packed cartons before loading: carton count, label accuracy, pallet format, and documentation against shipping instruction.

What Buyers Get

Concrete outputs, not promises.

  • Product packed to confirmed specification, not a generic export standard
  • Intake rejection of sub-standard product before it reaches the carton
  • Accurate carton weight and sizing grade across every pallet
  • Label, country-of-origin mark, and retailer compliance marks applied correctly
  • Documentation package matched to the physical shipment

Packing is where most export quality failures actually occur. Field quality and growing conditions matter, but a crop that is graded wrong, packed too loosely, mislabelled, or incorrectly weighed arrives at destination as a problem — regardless of how good it looked in the field.

Cairo Fields treats packing supervision as a non-negotiable part of every export program. We do not delegate packing and assume the result. Our team confirms the specification with the buyer, briefs the packhouse, and is present during packing to catch problems before they become containers.
